Originally from Ireland, Abby was raised in Ecuador and has been living in Tena for the past 18 years.
As a vital member of her family’s rafting business, she’s been working as a rafting guide and safety kayaker for the past 9 years. In the past, she’s worked in different lodges as Translator and Jungle Guide, as well as on a variety of rivers throughout the country.
Currently, Abby works seasonally as a kayak instructor, rafting guide, and counselor at kids ecological camps both in Canada and Ecuador.
Certified First Aid and Swift Water Rescue by the American Canoe Association.
